Author Topic:   New OEM Console Doors and Extinguisher Pocket

I am at the point of considering making a set of the two console doors and frames, as well as an all teak fire extinguisher pocket for the Montauk/Outrage consoles of the 80'
The problem is that with all the work involved in setting up to do these operations , it makes it a little silly to make just one set. I was wondering if there is any demand out there for these items, and, what would a fair price be that would make it worth my time to make them, as well as not make them so expensive as to price them where even those who would like one, won't, or can't pay the price. They have to be rather pricey. Boston Whaler eliminated them for a reason, and it wasn't because people didn't like, or want them anymore.
Yes, I know how much I would need to charge to make it worth doing, I just would like to get a feel for where you guys feel their value lies. Any and all feedback will be appreciated.

I am really testing the waters as far as pricing these items. I am not going to bother making more than what I need unless it is worth my time and energy. I kind of like the idea of being able to provide a product that isn't readily available from another source to people with interests that I share.
This is in know way any kind of commitment, but how does $150 for the teak fire extinguisher pockets, and say $200+ or so, for the louvered console doors and frames sound?
If I go ahead with this project, it would be early in the new year. I would be selling items that have been made, so there would be no delays in your receiving them from me. Let me know your thoughts.
