How much is a mahogany console worth of this type/vintage? Sits up taller than later 13 consoles. Needs total refinishing, no compass or steering, just the wooden part, pretty solid. thanks, Mav

wow, that's it? Could buy the wood for that. Was hoping for like a couple hundred. Hmm, perhaps I'll keep it and refinish then, it is very thick solid mahogany. Was considering using a tiller motor instead of helm and taking the steering and all completely out. Thanks, Mav

50-75, does not matter. You can buy the wood new, go though the effort of cutting and finishing a new one, or buying one off E-Bay. If you have the console which came with the boat and it can be installed refinishing it, of course it makes sense. New wood parts are easy to get, but whatever came with a boat when sold new is worth more in the end.

Try the search.
Folks are building these consoles.
Some older ones are for sale.
Parts and pieces are for sale; new and used.
Go back on this site and look.
This site and I guess E-bay.

I found one on ebay for $179 (refinished), and it's the small one - mine is the larger one with the shelf underneath. I'll try and post some pics this weekend, although I am considering selling the 13 hull. thanks, Mav
