I have a 1982 Revenge 25’ Walk Around and I have not had any luck selling her.
She runs good. I recently installed new power packs on both motors. She is solid and dry. The trailer has less than 200 miles on it. What is a good asking price?

Wasn't with boat offered for something like $4,199 + $2,000 if you wanted the trailer as back in August?

That's the one, I still have it.

A lot of boat for the money. Put a full windshield matched up to the canvas on it and you got a swell overnighter.

Where are you located? Can you give some details on the boat and motors? How is the transom, floor etc?

The boat, transom, and floor are solid. It is a great boat but needs a good polishing. The motors run good but they are getting old. Both motors have new power packs. The boat is sitting behind my business, the address is 1932 E State Hwy 52 Hartford AL 36344.
I might try eBay after the 1st and see what she does there.

No one ever told me a value so I went ahead and listed it on eBay starting later tonight at $6499. Had to add a little extra to cover the fees. The item number is 140290815788
I sold my 13' sport on there for $8000 a few weeks ago, maybe the Revenge will do as well.

Well it is kind of an odd boat in an odd market. Whaler values seem to be all over. While some are still asking late 2006 - Mid 2007 prices others are off loading their boats at crazy prices. This does not help the others asking the higher prices. So if you are going to ask the higher price you better have a great 9-10 example of the model. Also, the 25 Revenge tends to fall into the same category that I put a Menemsha in with it's fat upper lip. While rare it is not that sought after to the larger crowd that is looking for a Center Console or Revenge W/T.
Honestly I am surprised that the boat did not move at your first price. I think it got a hard core cleaning and waxing it could bring a good bit more than the asking price on Ebay. I also think the windshield throws people for a loop.
The only example I can quote for a boat of the same size would be a local freshwater 25' Outrage I found with a Super Console and factory leaning post. The boat has twin 150 merc's in very nice condition with a spare lower unit. The boat is in good solid overall condition and the owner is asking 8k but, is willing to talk offers. No trailer. The boat has been for sale of about a month.

The windshield is a bit odd but the guy I bought it from said it was factory. How much would a larger windshield cost?

Odd boat, but I like that model and have sought one out!The initial post in August drew my interest as his profile states "Hartford" no state was listed, being in Connecticut I was very interested as Hartford is 1 hour away, turns out it's Hartford Alabama ! Recently I financed the flip of large deisel powered Whaler(31L) and now am seeking something just like this one as the kids want a cabin. Any leads on a 22-25 Revenge would be welcomed (I prefer a boat in need of new power).

Two grand may be a little too much to invest in something I am trying to sell.

I am heading to Pensacola the end of the third week of Jan 2009, and would like to take a look at it on the way if it is still available. Could you email your phone number to me @ email@example.com?

She has a bid on eBay but I will e-mail you my number just in case.

It sold on eBay but ten minutes after the auction I got this e-mail:
"Due to uncertain economic future, I must withdraw my bid on the Boston Whaler Revenge. Sorry.
I hate deadbeats!
The bottom rail will still work, the top rail will work but will need to be cut so all I will need to buy is the sides.

I might have a friend who is interested...what's your bottom line-e-mail me, etc.

Tohsgib I sent you an e-mail.
I am going to stick to $4200.00 for the boat. I have added a new Bimini and cleaned her up a lot since my original post. When the weather starts warming I will post her on eBay again; start her low and let her go. I wish eBay would make people put up a temporary deposit to bid on large items to discourage the deadbeats.

That boat looks like a good value as priced. The low windshield may not be that bad of a thing, and a good canvas shop can easily fab a nice enclosure to mate up with it. A custom hardtop is another way to go, and at less than $5k, there's some room for a new owner to make improvements. Were it in my half of the country, I'd give this boat a pretty serious look.

I agree with Andy. For the money, it looks to be nice boat.
I don't think the low windshield detracts from the value. As Andy says, it would be relatively easy to adapt infills of some sort. I like the idea of a custom hardtop, but I am sure canvas would work nicely as well.

If I didn't already have a 25' Revenge, that boat would be in my driveway right now. The trailer alone is worth $4200. Maybe try and sell the Bimini for $500, the trailer for $3000, the motors for a grand, and then the hull is all gravy.
Wow, is this how far in the dumps the economy is?

I saw her on ebay again this morning. This sure looks like a good way to get into big water fishing or overnight boating. Good luck on the sale I hope some one here is the highest bidder.

I posted it as a buy it now and accepting offers, not an auction this time. I think maybe auctions get people too excited and they buy without thinking. As for an enclosure it has the clear plastic that attaches to the Bimini and to the windshield on three sides and curtains that cover the back. They are in good shape but have yellowed a little and don’t make a good picture. They are worth using if you get stuck in bad weather. I know I am going to miss this boat when it is gone.
Anyone what to buy a house? It a nice NEW three story colonial farmhouse, 5501 feet under roof, plus a 640 ft 2nd floor deck, has a 400mph rated safe room and a fire sprinkler system, sits on three acres, only $300K. It is not finished yet but the price is for the finished house, plus I'll throw in the Whaler. If you love to hunt and fish this is the place to be.
