I assume it is the 40" Super Console, not the 35" Super Console?

Price reduced to $200. I removed all the doors and pretty much all is left is the original windshield. This would be a great project for someone to rebuild, I just don't have the time.

I'm not sure on the dimensions but I'm pretty sure whaler only made one size "Super Console".

If I remember correctly, two Super Console sizes were available for the Outrage 25 and maybe the 27 Center Console Cuddy. 35" and 40". Only the 35" Super Console was available for the Outrage 22.

To confirm Doug's memory, the Super Console on my 1987 22' Outrage is 35" wide.

My 1980 Outrage 22 has a 40" Super Console. Maybe it's not original? I think it looks and works great. -Matt

Matt,

Do you have any pictures you we could view of your 22 with the 40" console? I would be interested in seeing what it looks like in the 22 hull.

Matt,

I remember seeing that gallery- looked like a good time.

My 22 has the 30" console with a T-top frame surrounding it. There is room for a 35" console inside the T-top frame. I would suppose there is about as much room between my T-top frame and the inside of the gunnels as you have between your console and the gunnels.

Any pictures that show that space?

Sorry about hijacking- at least the thread stays near the top.

Thanks again,

Matt and DeeVee,

I had a 1980 22' Outrage and the standard console for that boat was the 40" super console, first generation, just like the one Matt shows in his pictures. You had to order the standard Montauk style console if you wanted something different.

What brand of T top do you have and how much?
westcoastwhaler posted 05-11-2009 05:31 PM ET (US)     Profile for westcoastwhaler  Send Email to westcoastwhaler
They must have updated the Super Console between 1980 and 1987. Mine is almost identical but with a sloped area in the middle for the steering wheel. I also have a built in bait well that doubles as the seat in front of the console. I have never seen any other Super Consoles with it, but maybe it was an add on or mine was modified.

Great looking boat Matt. It looks like you did well at Hen Rock for lobster.
