I am looking to sell my 1993 Montauk with original 90 HP Johnson, trailer and 1 year old color GPS/Plotter. Everything works great (trailer shows its age but has good rubber) I am just looking to go up a bit in size. Boat is located in Falmouth, MA and I have pictures to email if interested.

Based upon current market, I am looking for some help on sale price. I see them going anywhere from $9K to $11K or even higher.

I am not in a rush to sell and may just wait until Spring when I know it is more of a sellers market but would be happy to put the cash towards the next boat sooner as well.

Range is pretty fair. Probably under $10k in this market unless "bristol".

As a reference point, this one: http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/016958.html did not seem to get any offers at $9995. I got pictures from the seller and it was absolutely pristine, no bottom paint, rebuilt engine, etc.

Condition is everything.

The offers you get here are always low. Most people on this site already own a Whaler -- so it takes a fire sale to stir interest. eBay gets better prices. You only need one buyer.

As another point of reference, there's a fairly clean 99 Montauk with a Merc 100 for sale quite near you in Onset - they've been asking $12,500 since October.

Wow, This makes me feel like a paid a little much for my Montauk w/new E-tec 90 at 11,500. I figure the motor justified the price and with a little elbow grease it's gonna be a sweet boat.

Big difference between an original 1993 90HP Johnson and a new e-tec 90

The E-Techs are great engines and as the Montauk properly cared for can go for ever you should have a nice rig for a long time.

Enjoy the boat....

Decided I would like to move up to a 20' GW Tournament or BW Dauntless. Mid 90's with newer (would love a 4-Stroke) power is preferred.

Any one looking to trade down and pick up some cash as well keep me in mind....

I'd consider trading down. Consider my boat?
