Do you now what the story behind it is?

I do not not know the full story but I can put you in touch with someone who I think may. I will send you an email.

I live nearby and could appraise the boat for interested CWrs. The Cdn $$ is floating around 80 cents right now so this boat could probably be had for about $18-20 K US.

Let me know - I kinda want to check it out myself but with two Whalers in house already....well, you know the rest of that story.

Whoa. I just had another look and noted that the listing was on Crigslist Seattle - that pretty much guarantees the owner wants the asking price in US dallars.

You still might get it for $18-20 K ;-)

The Seattle listing would be in US$ and the boat is also listed for sale here in Victoria in CDN$:

I've seen this ad several times in the last year and recall the asking price now is quite a bit less than it was last year.

I can also offer to look at it as well if anyone is interested.

Yep,remember that boat.Asking price 1 year ago was 59K.
Their broker told me that an estimated price of 6,500 dollars to fix the damage.I'll bet i can do it for 2.:p
