I am interested in a mid 90's Dauntless. Saw what looked like a good deal down in Florida (1997 with low hours on a 200 HP Johnson) asking $12K but I do not want to go that far South to get the boat and would prefer a 4-Stroke if I can find one.

I have my 1993 Montauk for Sale/Trade and have had a bunch of offers (not the number I want yet but it is an interesting market to say the least:-). While I would like to sell first if the right deal came along I could pay cash now and sell my Montauk when the weather gets better.

I am looking for a bit more size and my kids love the DC layout so the Dauntless seems like a good choice but I would love some feedback from Dauntless owners (good and bad) on this model.....

The dauntless is in my opinion the best family boat. It seats up to 9 for a cruise. We water ski with up to 6 kids, three in the front, driver, spotter, skiier. The seating is deep and safe. I have taken out many people in their 70's, a 94 year old grandmother and a 360 lb uncle.

My Optimax 225 is awesome. Just start and go, tons of power. Its a little loud.

The accutrac hull design is fabulous. I almost never get sprayed. Especially at night it puts out a beautiful wake.

Buy the Dauntless, you will not be sorry.

If I can ask, what range were the offers on your Montauk?
