On the 17th of February of 2008 there was a 17' Guardian listed here on this web site. I bought the boat. Had it in the water twice and am now in a position where I need to sell it. Lost my job.
It is about as cherry as you will ever find a commercial whaler. It has a 90hp OPtimax on it. I bought it with 72 hours on the engine. It now has 82. Comes with a vhf-fm radio and 524 Garmin. If you go back to the orginial posting on February of 2008, that will give you a good idea of this rig. The gentleman I bought it from is the Regional Sales Manager for the Commercial Division of Whaler. This was his personal boat. I don't have pictures yet. It is currently stored in an underground storage area here in Kansas City. A humidity and temperature controlled environment. Comes with orginal commercial Whaler trailer with 6 or 8 ply tires. I pulled it from Mt. Vernon, Ohio to Kansas City last March with a Honda Ridgeline truck. Super easy tow. This is my 5th Whaler....hate to give it up but timing is just not right. I know I'll have another someday.
I'll try to get pictures posted next week.

Here are the pictures I was able to take yesterday of the 17 ft. 1991 Guardian. I know some are dark and my space was limited because the boat is stored underground where the temperature and humidity are constant. I have added three custom covers, motor, seat and center console. I also added a swim ladder made for the whaler. This is not a project boat but is in extraordinary condition with low hours on the 90 hp Optimax. Top end with a full tank of fuel, gear and two people (according to the GPS) is 40 mph.
Asking price is 14,500
