Hi all, I am selling a dinghy motor and external gas tank.

6 hp, 4-stroke, short shaft, manual start, 2003.

Only used as dinghy motor. Probably has more hours being flushed in the garbage can than on the dinghy.

Sweet. What does that motor weigh?

I believe they are about 85lbs.

Well, I am a few thousand miles away (in Guam) from the engine at the moment so I don't have a definite answer.

Hmmm...85lbs is too heavy. I would say maybe ~55-60lbs. It is a small displacement 2 cylinder.

I'm going to guess it's very similar to my 4-stroke 5hp Merc, that's the same weight, about 55#'s, as the 4-stroke 6hp Merc. The Merc is a 1 cylinder so if your Johnson is a 2 cylinder, I could see it weighing more..just not sure how much more.

Correction....according to the brochure they are 83lbs in 15" shaft and 93lbs in 25" shaft so I assume it would be 88lbs in 20" shaft. My bad with the 85lb post above.
