There is a Revenge 27 for sale in Muskegon, MI w/ twin Yamaha 225s (250s??)mounted on Whale-Tail thing. It's no cream puff but pretty dang cool. Definitely needs work and spiffing up. I called the owner and he said they loved the boat but wanted something they could trailer including to FL. He said they have made many crossings to Milwaukee, cruised up to Mackinaw IS and back, I think Chicago, Detroit - sounds like a cool dude. He said mid-20s on the price.

I misplaced his phone number, it's a big boat, could be something awesome for the right person but needs lots of spiffing and I would guess repairs. I can double check the address and post the phone number if anyone is interested.

Much less a 27' version. I think you mean a 25' with Whaler-drive.

The boat is a "Whaler 27" with the WhalerDrive Option. I looked at the boat 2 years ago (it had already been listed for 9 months at that time) as something I could move up to. Yes I was dreaming. The boat was and I think still is listed at $19,999. The boat has solid bones but is otherwise trashed. Both of the Helm seats are missing, there where missing items out of the dash, the teak cabin entry down was gone, the rear teak deck hatches were gone, and it looked like someone locked an angry gorilla with a baseball bat in the cabin. Broken hatches, lights, etc. Turns out the items that are missing were not taken off for storage but are just plain gone. In today's market I would be surprised if you could get 15k for it. With all that needs to be done I would not pay more than 10k for it. As cool as the 27's are not many people look for these boats. They are costly to run, tough to trailer, and require more up keep than the smaller Whalers. If people are looking for a 27' Whaler most want the Whaler 27 Offshore or the Whaler 27 Walk Around.

I have no interest but it's cool for someone who wants a project. The owner told me that the boat is 27 hull length and the drive thing makes it 30 and bow thing ene longer. He also told me it's 12 ft wide and needs permit to tow. It was fascinating to hear him tell of trips to MKE, Detroit, Chicago etc.
