My Father asked me to Post this for him.

FOR SALE. Minn Kota saltwater trolling motor straight from my Montauk(86) to yours. Includes custom machined 1/4 inch aluminum plate which mounts on the left side of the bow using 10 screws to which the motor is mounted with six bolts screwed into threaded holes. All required screws and bolts (stainless) are included. Also included are the electrical connectors and wires needed to connect the motor to your battery and the owner's manual.

The motor is described by Minn Kota as: "Bowmount, Foot Control, PowerDrive,AutoPilot, Saltwater Trolling Motor - RT55/AP"; which means it has a foot control for variable speed power and directional steering and their patented AutoPilot system. The motor was purchased new in 2003 and its serial number is: MKAD 2666635 if you wish to contact Minn Kota customer service with any specific questions.

Shortly after purchasing the motor my fishing activities changed and I have only used it three or four times per year; that is why I am selling it. The motor runs fine and the power control portion of the foot control functions appropriately. The steering portion of the foot control has acquired an electronic "grimlin" however and does not always function although the steering motor itself functions fine. I overcame that problem by simply steering by hand which I found actually easier than using the foot control. Minn Kota customer service suggested that replacing the control board (a plug in device) in the head of the motor would likely solve the "grimlin" problem (a new control board costs about $125.00), but I did not elect to do so since my manual steering adaptation worked with little inconvenience.

I replaced the prop in 2006 as the original one had dinged too many oyster bars. The motor has a few marks, scratches, etc. as is to be expected of any piece of fishing equipment that has been used.

To purchase the current version of this motor new would likely cost between $850 and $1,050. The custom machined mounting plate, its stainless screws and bolts, and the power connection wiring would add more than an additional $100.00 plus the trouble of having the mounting plate machined. I expect the steering control "grimlin" could be had at no cost. You may buy this entire package for only $250.00 plus the cost of shipping by UPS.

Andy, I apologize for the delay, but I had to box the motor so I could get the appropriate measurements and weight. It appears the shipping cost to your zip code is $35.00.
