By popular demand;
It is my pleasure to post those on behalf of Deepwater..
Nice clean hull and a pretty nifty tower to boot.
posted 06-07-2009 09:03 AM ET (US)
thankyou that was fast
posted 06-07-2009 05:46 PM ET (US)
My pleasure really.
I think that it would be a great idea for you to list one by one of all the components that will come with this package.
IE-Montauk 1989; Still shrink wrapped.

It's not my style or place to start calling you Guys Knuckleheads;
Or my ambition to start against the grain;
I must avow;
A pissing match;
But if the moment calls for this kind of warranted attention;
And that it is;
What the Doctor ordered;
In what it takes to get you attentive Whaler proud owners;
To pay attention.. to the fact that Good Old Larry here;
Is trying to get a fair shake in regard to letting one of us to adopt his Montauk;
So be it!!!
All right then..
posted 06-08-2009 11:43 AM ET (US)
When your ad says: "for sale ,,email me "
What do you really expect?
posted 06-08-2009 09:32 PM ET (US)
Will there be a stirring of emotions for these two souls in need?
The Whaler will be sitting idle for the next two years;
And would much prefer to have fun (or so it told me);
In what it does best;
With it's new owner on board.
How far is Maine from most of you Guys?
posted 06-08-2009 09:45 PM ET (US)
Ritzyrags,,thanks ,, this is what happened the last time i posted it for sale in here ,,its the whole attitude ,,thanks again for being civil

That's alright Larry..
There is a decent group of Gentlemen here;
That are not always heard of;
And that will be keen to hear of what the boat is equipped with.
Any and all updates,
Small if any problems with it.
I know that your Montauk is being looked at presently..
So let us hear of your usage and description of;
-The problems, if any.
And any of the trials that you had with it;
Scary or not.
posted 06-09-2009 10:37 AM ET (US)
Although Ritzy likes to speak in Vers Libre I prefer Senryu. I do however think that a Dramatic Monologue would be more appropriate in this situation.
posted 06-09-2009 11:33 AM ET (US)
A suggestion. You may want to email Ritz and/or Tohsgib regarding having one of them market this boat for you. Offer a few bucks for the help if it sells.
Not everyone has the knack for selling. Ask for help. Your boat looks like a nice rig with a radar, etc. and it looks to be in pretty good condition. If "marketed" right, you should be able to move it relatively fast.
Good luck with it.
P.S. Tohsgib (a.k.a Nick) is actually a nice guy. He just likes to bust chops, that's his personality. There's no malice (at least I have never thought there was).
posted 06-09-2009 12:30 PM ET (US)
The idea here is to help a fellow Whaler owner;
A Veteran and a good American..
In need of moving his boat.. for personal reasons.
The price is not outlandish;
And I am sure that all of us will feel good when the boat has been adopted by an eager third party.
I think that Larry;
At this stage of his life;
Has deserved that kind of attention.
So let's suck it up and give him a small amount of our precious time.
posted 06-09-2009 01:29 PM ET (US)
Deepwater I wish you good luck. I had good luck using Bob at www.anglersedgemarine.com .
$200 bucks, you email the pics to Bob, he puts in on a brazillian sites, and your boat sells. I sold three that way.
Nick is a good guy, as well.
posted 06-09-2009 03:26 PM ET (US)
That will be Mister Ritzy;
Heavy on the Mister..Please.
Well no skin of my knuckles here.
Well you see;
I don't mind trying to mobilize the forces when the cause is right..
You might have allude to;
Thanks for offering a viable solution for Larry;
And I hope that he has taken note..
Now where is Sancho Panza?
posted 06-10-2009 05:34 AM ET (US)
Now for taking care of business.
Now that good old Larry is looking at new possibilities about his selling of his Montauk;
What a great guy;
Battling it out by himself..
I have looked you up and found you to be unavailable to correspond Sal A.
Is this forum the ONLY way that you will be able to chat with me?
If it means anything to you and yours.
I will be here to share some thoughts;
You know where you can reach me.

Are we trapped in a Walken-esque Saturday Night Live skit?
posted 06-10-2009 09:38 AM ET (US)
A good senryu is not merely a knee-slapper, though it can be that. It's not just a showcase for puns or wit, although a good senryu can include cleverness or humour as part of a more resonant purpose. Rather, a senryu is a poem that wakes us up in a small way with its distilled, one-breath moment of heightened awareness focusing on human nature. It's a window into the human condition, freshly squeegeed. Senryu are, ultimately, poems of human self-awareness. They don't have to be funny, but often it is good to laugh at ourselves through senryu.

Okay, while this is humorous (Canadian spelling folks!) I cannot allow you to take 'swipes' at Ritzy Rags as he sold me four (4) very nice gas tanks. Besides, the originator of this post is trying to sell his Montauk. Shame on you all! Grrr!!
Where is the Moderator!!???

You must consider the source of this small misunderstanding..
You can refer to Spike the bulldog and Chester the terrier from the famous Warner Bros cast of characters to get a precise fix on this one.
Not to be too concerned about the ramblings of some of these characters.. guys.
I have even heard that these kinds of behaviors are taken for granted here.
It's an accepted "type" cast and OKed since been seen on a regular basis as a constant.
The real point here is that Larry has a great Montauk for sale and that he is willing to sell.
Unless he has been turned off by some observed behaviors;
Anything else to that fact will be seen as extra curriculum activities.
And patiently stated again;
As ONE MORE TIME.
1989 Montauk for sale.

Good luck with the sale, deepwater.

I understand that you have had an under RPS all aluminum gas tank professionally installed for your Montauk..
Give you now an increased fuel retention of thirty some extra gallons???
I will enjoy seeing more about your Montauk.
posted 06-23-2009 07:08 PM ET (US)
The tank hold 34gal including the oil mix,,all the fuel lines are 3/8 SS under the deck and the 45 gal UH1 fuel cell goes with the whaler,,this boat is set up for long hauls or as a gas station for all your out of gas friends

These are details on the Radar Tower.
ok for the tower,,this is what it looks like and the radio antennas are on it too,,you can see by the penny how thick the sidewalls are ,,it may look junky but it will never fall apart or come apart in your hand,,this pic shows the UH1 helo tank up front and the radar mast,
Here is a view of the tower from abow.
Up close view of the stainless rigging.
Demonstrated thickness of the structures.
A one of a kind professionally installed rigging.

All right Larry;
Now you're talking..
Your next words maybe the deciding factor in getting a serious offer.
What do you say???
posted 07-23-2009 01:41 AM ET (US)
Yes; It is a professionally built and installed aluminum gas tank.
Giving extra range with a minimum of modifications to the decking.
These will show of the features and installations on this well thought fuel reserve installation.
And yes the Montauk is located on the East side of the USA.
More specifically in Maine.

So this has been for sale last year and now this year. HAve you ever though of making an ad on Boat Trader or similar? It seems to me that your reach is quite limited here to those who already own Whalers.
Just a suggestion.
