I have a free cowling foam set for Mercury 4-cylinder engine, circa mid-late 90's. (I think this would be 115 hp and 125 hp models.)I bought a foam set for my 90 hp and it came with sets for both 3-cyl. and 4-cyl. cowling sizes. It has an adhesive backing, so no spray glue needed. The foam replacement took a few hours, peeling old stuff, acetone cleaning, slight sanding (roughing up), and attach. I am in the PNW, and you pay for shipping if it comes to that.

I have a 1996 100 hp merc 4 cyl. I am curious as to why you had to change the foam? Is this oem or would it offer more sound dampening. My foam is in good shape I suppose folks have been pretty careful pulling the cal off. |

My oil cap leaked, and the foam absorbed a ton of oil. When it gets really hot, it drips down and makes a mess.Yes the foam is OEM (quicksilver/merc), I can get a part number next time I go down to the boathouse. |

Same problem with my 2001 Mercury 75hp 2 stroke. How much does the foam cost. My has leaked since new. I usually clean the foam every year to get the oil out. |
