i just looked at a 1988 Temptation 2500 that has sat since the year 2000 unused. it has a pair of Johnson 225's (one with a blown head gasket & other, etc.) The good engine has 536 hours and the other 408 hours. overall the boat is in decent shape with minor nicks in the hull. What would be a fair price for this boat?

Here is my two cents. That boat is going to worth different amounts to different people, the challenge is finding the guy who its worth the most to versus finding a buyer to take it off your hands. What I mean is that I know people that just seem to be either lucky or have some connections with folks that repower often and can get a hold of a pair of 5 year older motors for several grand and will rig it up themselves in their barn. So to them, they might give you 8 grand for it and still have a total investment under 20k with much newer power and trailer. For me, someone who is not in that situation its worth a few grand a best because I would not bother to pump money into those engines and would have to repower new. So I would avoid it all together, but that is me based on my situation. The market for the Temptations is pretty small.
