The Family wants a bigger boat, so my 1992 Montauk is up for sale, bought it from a South Carolina CW member in Feb 2007.
Hull is in excellent condition overall- never bottom painted. All stainless is in very good condition. OEM Bimini top in very good condition. Engine has good compression and runs strong- 44+mph on GPS, SST prop, VRO disabled- 50:1 mix. Trailer purchased 1/2007, in perfect condition, no rust at all with removable tongue, 2” ball, tires excellent, bearing buddies.

Some boat features:
Dual stern area removable Igloo Marine coolers- I use one for bait/tackle other used to hold fish. Very convenient for fishing- no buckets lying about.
Console mounted battery- frees up stern area.
Racor spin on aft mounted filter.
Transom mounted entry step w/handle.
Fiberglass anchor hatch.
Wood console hatches.
Full instrumentation: Tach, trim position, batt voltage, cyl heat temp, water pressure, Speedometer.
Removable stern light- bow and stern lights both 100% operational.

Things added/replaced summer 2007 (have receipts for all items listed):
Teleflex SAFE-T II NFB helm
Teleflex 18’ steering cable
Moeller 26 gal fuel tank
Cabela’s Trail Pro Elite boat cover
Cyl head temp gauge
Engine water pressure gauge
Complete water pump assembly
Removed cyl heads, decarbonized pistons/heads
Steering Guard nut for cable lubrication
Fulton Trailer Jack
Fulton Winch
Carlise ST17580D13 spare tire and galvanized rim
12 Volt Stainless Steel receptacle
SeaWorthy AM/FM/Cassette 52watt removable radio
Speedometer pitot tube
Stainless Steel transom tiedowns
PVC framework for boat cover

Things replaced summer 2009:
West Marine Marine battery
OMC OEM starter motor
Stripped down & re-varnished RPS backrest

Overall boat needs no work and is turn-key ready for daily use, all trailer lights work and trailer is as near perfect as could be- ready for out of state trip. I made the PVC cover framework for support and it’s held up to two north east winters so far- for winter I lay a standard $20 Home Depot blue tarp over the Cabela’s cover for additional protection. GPS antenna not included, but I will leave the Garmin transducer in place in case new buyer has a Garmin GPS/fishfinder. Price $9000

Sorry to editorialize, but that is one beautiful boat. WOW! I'd be proud to own it, if only I didn't have 2 boats already.

Thanks dscew,
I wasn't even thinking of selling till the wife whispered those magical words in my ear a few weeks back... "I think we need a bigger boat".
What mortal man could resist that offer I ask you?
Funny isn't it... went from a 17' Sea Ox to a 22' Robalo to a 21' SeaSwirl(and 13' Whaler at the same time) to the current 17' Whaler (and a jetski) now looking for a 19' to 20'. Ug......

Whaler Bob:

Agree is a great looking boat. Can you tell me if that captain's bench is OEM (I don't think it is), and if it's not, can you tell me where I might source something like that? I don't need the livewell feature of the aftermarket items I've seen at Todd Console, and I would love to be able to locate a larger, single fuel tank like you've done to clean up the stern.

Many thanks in advance and best of luck,

Liquid

Hi Liquid,
As far as I know, the seat is OEM- but maybe it was refurbished by the previous owner? I just don't have any info on that, sorry.

The fuel tank is an off the shelf Moeller 26 gallon above deck tank I installed in 2007. Nice thing is I didn't need to raise the RPS to fit the tank under it and it's far enough aft that it's easy to fill from the pump or from 6 gal jugs. You can also easily see the fuel level in it from almost any position. I see boat bandit has it available for $179 currently: http://www.boatbandit.com/moeller-26-gal-above-deck-fuel-tank-7998.aspx

That's a sweet looking boat. Do you still have it.

I'm in Portland OR and would need to find a way to get it towed out here.

Anyone with a reputable company to recommend would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Wade

Boat was sold/paid for mid Sept, picked up by new owner this weekend. Sold to a nice local gentleman.

Thanks to those who inquired.
