Well, someone has finally open their eyes, NO more Plastic... A local Boston Whaler Dealer (Ft. Lauderdale) Has commission/ requested/ paided my buddies to make exact coppies for the Pate/Tempo above deck fuel tanks for Boston Whalers. The dealer gave them three different size tanks to copy. The tanks will be made out of .125 Alum. and then powered coated(if you like)to your color choice(I have only seen red so far). They will put either mechanical or electrical fuel senders in the tank per your request. They will also move/place the fuel pick up, vent, fill to your request. Owner: Keith Sluder, Company: Aim-Alloy Welding, Address: 3939 SW 12 Court, Fort Lauderdale Fl. 33312, Phone 954 581 7630, Fax: 954 583 7473.

Someone finally got smart. Epoxy-coated produces orange peel. Simply primed two coats, and something as easily spray painted with Krylon "Appliance Almond" works wonders. Now, price per gallon, and of course, length X width X height divided by 231 cubic inches per gallon will give you liquid capacity in gallons. Now if it's only about $10/gallon, or slightly higher for .125" aluminum (versus 0.90) we're getting somewhere. Still must inquire about baffles. One can only hope. With todays prices for metal and shipping, who knows. zotcha.
