Does the 70HP engine make your montauk seem underpowered. With a full load will she get on plane easily? I know the max is 90 so I am just curious how much of a difference in performance there is between the 70 and 90. I might be in the market for a montauk and i am also on long island. Thanks, Alan |

Dont know how to post pics but there are some good ones on yachtworld search under 1984 Boston Whaler Montauk. Never felt the boat was under powered, depend what you consider a full load. This a second boat so I used it lightly and then usually only one or two persons aboard. My comfortable cruise is about 18kts@ 3700 rpm. email address is southshorecharters@hotmail.com |
