Hey Guys, Great forum, I have been reading it for about a year and I am finally ready to purchase a whaler. I grew up in San Diego, Coronado to be exact. I lived on the water and had an old 13ft with a 40 yamaha that was me means of transportation from ages 12-16 (until I got a car) I bet I put a couple thousand hours on that thing. I loved it, especially for teaching sailing, fishing and taking it to surf spots along the coast. I digress, Here is a link I found on ebay for a Montauk that looks like its in really good condition. I contacted the seller and he said nothing was wrong with it and that it has been sitting in a garage for a long time which is why it looks like it is in such good condition. Any visual red flags you can see from the pics. Thanks again guys! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120500674586&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Wrong seat and console doors and storage locker for a 87. They are more like a mid/late 1990's model. OEM but not era correct. Engine is a repaint as well. 90PSI is low but with a handheld gauge is probably fine, I would double check it with my own that screws in the sparkplug hole. Boats looks sweet but I would NOT buy sight unseen, too many variables. |

Thanks for the help. Problem is I live in Houston and can't make it out to fl. I already have the shipping figured out but feel pretty hesitant to buy sight unseen. Anyone know someone out in the area that could take a look at it for a fee?? It is a great price and looks like its in awesome shape. |

Go to Whaler Central site, they have a list (map) of people all over the US who have agreed to look at boats for prospective buyers. http://www.whalercentral.com/Boston_Whaler.php |
