This is a hard thing to do, as some of you know. However, the time has come to hang up the keys and turn the vessel over to someone with a desire necessary to keep and love the ole' girl! The link also has the For Sale Data sheets. $10,000 is ASKING PRICE, but I will entertain any reasonable offer, as the saying goes. My e-mail is: jtwhaler@yahoo.com The link: http://picasaweb.google.com/thompson1206/Whaler# John as jtwhaler

jt, I hope you get your asking price. That is one nice looking boat. I have a '72 Katama, but there is just something about wood. |

John,That looks like a Reddish cover. Beautiful boat. I suspect you'll do well when the right buyer sees her. Good luck. Butch |

In October 2009, I sold my ultra-sweet, all-original 1966 Currituck equipped with original Homelite 55 hp four-stroke engine in near-mint condition to a pilot for Continental Airlines who called me from his overnight in Shanghai, China to confirm his interest, and then showed up at my house a week later with an envelope full of hundred dollar bills to take her away. Although he lives on the shore of Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, he drove straight from my place to Lake Michigan, where he spent the day running the Currituck in big water at top rpms. He called me that night to rave positively about the Currituck -- and the Homelite -- performance. If your boat and its engine are indeed as good as she looks, I say stand firm on your price for as long as you can. |
