I have to wonder if that was the middle engine on a set of triple engines that were stolen? You don't see many 30" transoms, except on triple engine boats... |

That price is crazy-low; $5 or $6K below retail. Wonder if they seller would give up the serial #. |

With the new 4.2L Yamaha 250s coming out, the old F250s aren't going to be worth as much although $8,900 still seems like a pretty good deal. |

The current (3.3L) F250 will remain in production concurrently with the new (4.2L) F225, F250 and F300. It will have mechanical controls. I don't forsee the value of the 3.3L F250 dropping because of the release of the new engines. I think it is being priced specifically for the re-power market, where mechanical controls are more common. |

There was a brand new F250 stolen a couple of weeks ago off of a new 24' Everglades stored here on Sanibel Island. The guy bought the boat & it was stolen the first night it was here....cables cut clean, motor loaded into a van or truck by someone who knew what they were doing handling a big outboard. Locals suspect an insider at the dealer that sold it may have been involved. This might be the same motor. |

On second thought, perhaps this isn't the motor...I assume a 24' Everglades would require a 25" shaft motor, correct? in any case, I would be real certain the motor wasn't stolen before buying a "new" cheap motor like this from someone other than an authorized dealer. |

Please stop using the words "like this" because this motor was not "like that" stolen engine. It was in a crate at a dealer. |

Er, OK, I'll stop using the words "like this". I can see how you might be offended by that. The link was deleted by the time I posted, hence I couldn't see the motor in a crate at a dealer. Lots of motors for sale on Craigslist, of questionable background in some cases. |

And lots of people of question character pretend to be buyers on craigslist-scam capital of online for sale sites. |
