Hi all, I am reducing my Guardian for the last time as I would rather sell her prior to deployment to Afghanistan. I hate to see her go, but its not practical to keep. This boat is a machine on the water and there just ARE NOT any Whalers out there for sale like her. And especially not ones in this great of shape or for this price. Here is a link to over 100 pictures of my boat: Here is my previous ad: BOAT: 1990 Boston Whaler Guardian 20 with Rare factory-aluminum Dive Door, NO bottom paint, factory-installed stainless steel cutwater (keelguard), factory heavy duty aluminum gunwales, everything is heavy duty and well made. Not perfect cosmetically but she has it where it counts. Some dings, chips and wear in the gelcoat from use - one of the topside cleats shows heavy wear and has some some gel cracking around it but is solid, as are the rails. Nearly TURN-KEY BOAT, ready to fish and go. Leaning post, T-Top and electronics included. T-Top has new black vinyl top. Electronics include an Eagle FishEasy 320c, Cobra Ship to shore Radio with new antenna, a Clarion M475 Marine CD/MP3 player with two Bose speakers (one speaker is mounted to front of console, one is sitting in the console un-mounted). The gelcoat looks shiny, and this boat is a pleasure to own and run - as a former Patrol boat (I was told it sat in dry storage from new until about 1996), it's really fun to cruise in as others take special note when it arrives on the scene! I have thoroughly enjoyed this boat, and hate selling her, but life goes on. I've seen a few 22s with dive doors, but a 20 is a RARE boat in my experience, and the 20 is easy to handle, trailer, etc. have never seen another 20 with dive door for sale. Top speed around 47mph, dual batteries (one brand new Everstart Marine Maxx replaced in February), 77 or so gallon tank, oil injection. MOTOR: 1996 Johnson 225 with SS prop and hydraulic steering, extremely well maintained, exact hours unknown but boat sat for years in dry inside storage, not put into use until years after purchased by the government; not salty but shows some signs of salt water use, runs super, compression testing or professional evaluation welcomed for serious buyer at buyer's expense, and I will deduct up to $500 for such an evaluation from agreed upon final selling price if we can reach such agreement. I purchased a new waterpump impeller just in case, but she pumps very strong with no issues. TRAILER: Boatmaster brand aluminum, good tires, new spare. Has some rust on axles but overall in good useable (reliable) condition. Brakes disconnected prior to my purchase; pulls great, I use Ford F150 Supercrew with 5.4 gas engine. I can launch/load by myself, no sweat. The gears on the front Fulton jack for the tongue stopped working so I took it off (see pics). I have not purchased a new one – I will deduct the cost of a new one from the price. REASON FOR SELLING: I am active duty military, and will be deploying in 2010, can't take her with me, and hate to store her....I'm just planning ahead. I'm in no hurry to sell, so am patient to wait for the right buyer that can fully appreciate this unusual and rare Whaler. It's a good one! LOCATED: Enterprise, Alabama; I will consider delivery if not too far away. TESTING/RUNNING available close by in freshwater lake. TERMS: $12,000. Cash and Carry. I still owe some money on her, so my bank still has the titles... getting these is a simple task, and I guarantee the buyer CLEAR title and papers in accordance with proper payment. Still available. Serious buyers only, please with $. Feel free to contact me with questions (the olde Dad) if you can't reach Wes (my son) - who is the actual legal owner. Wes does a lot of military things and is sometimes difficult to reach. Have a great day my fellow Whaler friends....The Masters is close by and is calling me!! Thanks, Mav 803-645-seven3six5 or cwweigle@hotmail.com |

My brother and I are very interested. We are just trying to figure out the logistics of coming to look at it as he is in California and I am in Jersey. It looks like a sweet boat. |
