1987 Boston Whaler Montauk. This unsinkable legend is 17' and is in great shape. It is a freshwater boat used for walleye on Lake Erie and one trip per year to Lake Michigan for salmon. The outboard is a 1999 Johnson 90hp and is in excellent shape. The motor was just serviced for the season, including full carburetor service and fluid change. Runs like a champ and really moves this boat. New items include all fuel lines replaced, upgraded Moeller gas tank, oil reservoir, throttle cable, choke cable, seat reupholstered, brass drain tubes, new trailer tires, trailer lights, and trailer jack. This Montauk's mechanics are 100% with no worries at all. A brand new, mahogany anchor hatch has been ordered and will be installed prior to the sale. The teak wood has recently been oiled and the hull waxed. The boat has never been stored in the water.

$6999/FIRM.

Pics to be added soon. Thanks for looking!

Priced right and it is a fresh water boat I assume.

You may be under priced. I sold my 1977 with a 2001 Johnson for $7800 in less than 24 hours, sight unseen. Just a thought. You have a very nice boat. Here is mine.....

masbama - Thanks for the info. and compliment. Your boat is very nice as well! I know I may be a bit under and have been getting many responses. Don't know if it will be gone in less than 24, but someone is going to get a great deal, especially considering the recent mechanical overhaul and it being a freshwater (Michigan) boat.

Also forgot to mention the trailer is made by Long and is galvanized with keel rollers/bunks.

Answers to a couple of questions:

1) Engine does have trim/tilt.

2) There is a compass mounted on the dash and a ship to shore radio.

3) There is also a Humminbird 757c color sonar/gps unit installed; however I have not yet to decided if this will be included. It is brand new and was just installed last week.

4) I've upgraded to a 22' Revenge Cuddy, thus the Montauk sale.

5) Not interested in trades.

Yep...Going to try and revive her once again....It will be a project, but should be a bit different than the Montauk in the end.

Wow! I am surprised it took three days to sell. That was a VERY good deal.
