Hello to all.
Capt. Dave needs a good used tach for his mid 90's Johnson 225 Ocean Pro, OR a source to fix this one if that's practical.
Needle hangs up here and there occasionally shows 2000rpm when I'm doing over 30 knots (I wish).....
Any help would be moch appreciated.

Could also be a sign your regulator is going south.

Tohs,
You mean voltage reg? Seems to be mechanical problem, electrics all good, tested with remote tach, no problem...
I think it could be contaminated or dirty, or just maybe worn out?
Your thoughts my friend?
