Basically, I am selling this for the cost of shipping. It weighs about 40#. This unit was used for three seasons on my 21 Ribside Whaler, now repowered with transom mounted twins. It cost $350 new delivered to me. Setback is 8" It is in perfect mechanical and structural shape, all bolts work easily, a heavy duty, good looking unit, and has about a 5" vertical adjustment capability. The problem is that Rite-Hites had a terrible Mercury Phantom Black paint job, evidently put on the 1/2" mill aluminum without etching primer. Consequently, much to my disappointment, the paint peeled off in sheets with only 100 hours of salt water exposure, the rest being all fresh water. See photos here, click to enlarge full size: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v429/lgoltz/For%20Sale/ The jackplate will need a complete paint or powder coat job, probably in the color of your outboard. Once done, you will have a quality unit. I just do not have the facility to do this, hence the give-away sale. |

This could be a CW record sale time! Glad to see this go to good Whaler home. Will it go on the Newport? |

If change should change his mind (highly unlikely I know), I will take it. Dan |
