Too bad they didn't make it with a full transom 'cause the rear end made for outboards with no outboards on it ugly. |

That thing has been for sale for a long time and there is a likely reason for that. |

If it really burns 4 gph at 25-28 that would be sweet. |

There must be heaps of diesel mechanics around. The Ad41 is a pretty straight forward truck engine. Never missed a tick in my old 28ft center consul. The only thing was the universal in the duo prop leg didn't like consecutive tight turns when I was mapping the bottom hunting for for new ground. Oh, I didn't like the pulleys either as they were not stainless. Other then that, it just kept going for the 7 years I had it. |

As rare as this boat is there is another one currently for sale. I thought perhaps it was the same mentioned, but no this one has bottom paint and some custom shade extender. Link is below. Sorry my links never work! I think its cause I'm on a Mac or something. http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1992/Boston-Whaler-23-Walkaround-Diesel-2270337/Puntarenas/Costa-Rica |

I spoke with the owner on fuel consumption. He does not have a flow meter. The add incorrectly implies 4 gph @ 25-28 mph (which would be 6-7 mpg). On detailed questioning he meant to say he typically cruises at 25-28 mph when he cruises. He cruises and he trolls when he goes out for the day. When he gets back to dock and fills up he finds he used 4 gph for all the hours he was out. MPG at crusing speed is not known. Frank |
