I just bought a 1968 bare hull that was a sakonnet but the wood was too far gone.I have a non whaler fiberglass console but would rather find a katama console in the new england area.

You can buy a new wood console for pretty cheap from nautical lumber. Also keep an eye out for a Montauk/Outrage console.

As a last resort I would go with the new nauset console.I would like to keep it looking stock. I saw a katama console on cl last year but I did not have this boat then. I bought this boat as a long term project and will look over the winter for a katama console . Thanks J Leno. Tom from mass.

I have an old Katama console I'd give away for free but you'd have to pay shipping. Or if anyone else wants it, email me.
I live near Sacramento.

Matt...nice deal. No matter what the shipping, worth it's while if not scrap.

Agreed, great offer Matt. I would expect shipping to be $175 - $250 to ship it across the country.

Sometime later this winter I will be pulling a complete Katama interior. I am going to install a aftermarket console and a RPS from a Nauset.

If someone was in need of Katama parts please keep me in mind. This unit has good forward seats, but not the bench seat in the back.

I am located in NW Florida, east of Pensacola and about a hour south of I-10, about 4 hours west of Jacksonville.

Possibly some snowbird will be heading North this spring and could take the parts up North, if another CW member needed them.

Thanks

JSB
