scm68	posted 01-08-2011 01:08 PM ET (US)         I have a 1996 key west 1700dc for sale. The boat is in good shape but does need the rubrai reattached on one side. It had a repair done at the rail from banging against the dock. It has a trailer but no motor I am looking to sell it quickly and will take $1600 or best offer I do not have any pictures as it is covered now but if you search 1996 1700 dc you can see what it looks like. It has been used only in fresh water and the bottom has been painted

It gives both perspective on what our "expensive-even-when-used" Whalers cost with respect to other brands. Plus, some of us do other kinds of boating besides utility boating/Whalering, and maybe if a CWW member puts something up here for sale before somewhere else, one of us will have "dibs" on it before the general populace. -Peter

dscew	posted 01-08-2011 08:54 PM ET (US)          I think a former designer from Boston Whaler had something to do with Key West boats, might have been Bob Doughtery. I know someone who has a 17 footer, it's a nice boat, very well finished.
