I have three (3) surplus anodes for Mercury outboards and MerCruiser sterndrives (Alpha 1s at least).
These are the most common fin type anode that mounts under the AV plate behind the propeller.
Mercury Part # 31640-4
All three were slightly used with only the faintest beginnings of pitting.
I used to keep these as spares before I converted to counter rotation but now I use the flat anodes so I have no use for these.

Zinc, aluminum, or magnesium?

I believe the part number suffix "4" means they are aluminum, but I do not have my parts book here to verify.
