Selling our 1969 16' Boston Whaler Sakonnet center console. We have owned this boat since 1970, purchased with less than 40 hours on it. Spent it's life on a lake in upstate NY. In a slip summers and garaged winters. Has an 2003 leftover (bought in 2004) Mercury 75 HP 2 stroke with just a few hundred hours on it. Barely used the last 3 years. The Sakonnet was the top of the line Whaler at the time. Includes a white wood casting platform with storage below. We have the spray dodger frame, but it needs new canvas. Also have an aftermarket Bimini top. Original Morse single control and original Nautilus steering wheel. Boat is all original, never bottom painted. Mahogany console and Pilot seat need to be restored. Some wood along bottom edges may need to be replaced. I have a pair of pedastal seats mounted right now. Boat has typical Whaler spider cracking in Gel Coat; but is not a structural flaw. Interior in good shape. Includes original Holsclaw coil sprung trailer in very good condition, brand new tires and rims with less than 300 miles on them; bearings packed from when I brought it over from NY. The boat is useable as is, with a little touch up; but if I were to keep It I would do a barrier coat on the bottom. Probably one of a few "original" Sakonnets still around. Boat includes anchor, lines and a couple of life jackets. (6hp kicker is not included with sale). My dad passed away and left it to me. Hate to see it go; but I don't have the time to do her justice. I also own a 1960 13' Whaler, so we are Whaler family. I can pull the cover off and run the engine on the trailer if you are interested.. $6250 or near offer. Contact Gary Hamilton |

Gary could you please send pics to zotcha@hargray.com? Not sure that I would be in the market but I would love to see some pics of an original and will be in Northeast next month. I'd like first dibs or I would be happy to transport south if a member was interested. Thank you. Michael. |

Wow! That's sharp! Isn't Ipswich on Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket? Man what a blank canvas to start over. Best of luck with the sale! Thanks Jeff. zot. |
