We are preparing to relocate and I have decided to sell off my boats to help cover expenses. I will be listing them on ebay this week - Everything is located in West Berlin NJ - 08091 - email sraab928 at verizon.net - I would consider a 16 Whaler - 17 Montauk as part of trade deal. First one - 1973 Boston Whaler 19 Outrage - Extensive three year cap off restoration. New Gelcoat, all hatches recored, new wood, new fuel system, new wiring, new or rechromed hardware, new rubrail, new trailer - Suzuki 140 four stroke, jackplate, led cockpit lights, led underwater lights, power telescoping sternlight. No expense spared. Well over $30k invested. 13 hours since restoration completed (motor has about 30 hours) - Been stored in climate controlled garage. No excuses on this boat. Will be setting reserve on auction at $20k. Second one - 1982 Boston Whaler 25 Outrage Cuddy - This boat is a project in the works. Transom has been professionally redone, hatches have been professional recored. (those two jobs were over $6k) Old fuel tanks are out - New fuel tanks made (over $1k) - Need to be installed. Rub rail off and holes filled - new rubrail (included) needs to be installed. Boat has super console. Aluminum dual axle trailer. Wood is off and partly sanded. Needs to be completed. Boat basically needs to be put back together and finished. Any classic outrage of this era that hasn't has the tanks replaced or hatches recored is probably on borrowed time - this is a costly and time consuming process - all the hard and expensive work on that is done. Just foam in the new tanks and put the floors back down. I will even include new filler hoses. I am also selling a dual axle alum 7000 pound trailer for $1500 - And a 1998 Evinrude 250 Ocean Pro - 115-120 PSI on all cylinders - 25 inch shaft - controls and prop included. Mid 400's on hours. Ready to install - $2500 firm. And a 1970 25 Bertram Flybridge Sportfish.

Let me be the first to say that the 19 outrage is one sweet vessel. May you continue your sickness(lol) in your new location. |

Scott, What a great collection. I love the Bert but you must have been overjoyed when unleaded fuel and platinum spark plugs became available. Changing those inboard spark plugs on the Chryslers must have been an experience you wouldn't want to repeat. Good luck on the sale. Butch |

Your 1973 Whaler 19 is unequaled. Someone will be getting a steal if they get it for close to $20k. I know about the time and money invested. I am still trying to get my 1973 Whaler 19 completed and if you lived close by I would sell mine and buy yours...haha. (but now that my motor is hung, I need to see mine to completion). Good luck with your sale and move and thanks for all the feedback you provided throughout your restoration, you helped me by answering many qeustions I have had over the past 18 months. |

It seems that since no one else has a comment And that Scott's reserved bid has been incredibly met; The time is rather ripe for congratulations about having completed a rather splendid job. It is and will always be my pleasure to have noticed and recorded that the road to this denoument was not with out a few bumps on the road. Many doubts and uncertainties were experienced. Friendships or acquaintances were lived and enjoyed throughout the years involved in the works involving this above average refit. It actually was a hell of a lot of fun And who but me could actually recall what The Three Amigos were all about. I had to admire to the tenacity of the owner in keeping to the tradition of the original model in going above and beyond |

Thanks Guys! The 19 is going to a good home but she is leaving the country - She is going to be owned by someone who always wanted a classic whaler of his own. He will be proud to carry on her tradition. Has promised to take good care of her and not to mess her up with a bunch of useless add ons. With that note - I sold two boats this week - one for $10k and one for $20k - both are leaving the United States. Its a shame but it appears the money to be spent is just not here right now - I did have local interest in both boats - but they didnt pull the triggers fast enough I guess. The 25 Outrage remains - Not sure if that is going to make reserve - we shall see - If not - I will have to over time put her back together and try and sell more complete. I do have storage for her so at least thats not a concern at this point. Thanks again! |
