Is this really such a bargain at $26,000? The MSRP on the Boston Whaler site is $27,712.85.

Almost completely stripped version. Only option-swim ladder. No Bimini. I wonder how the resale will affect warranty.

Not sure about the options it has - I just checked the dealer cost and it shows this for the base boat...
MSRP $27,568.00 Invoice $19,298.00 - Thats a lot of markup for a small boat. Show it to the seller and make an offer - you never know - they got it for free(well the cost of taxes and registration)

It's definitely a good option for those looking to purchase a base 170. I am sure the seller is willing to drop price as it's pure "profits" to him/her. Maybe 22-24k? haha.

In this economy, and knowing he got it basically "for free", nobody's going to want to pay what he's asking. I think he will have to settle for a lot less.

How does one look up dealer cost on new Boston Whalers?

Thanks.

Rule of thumb(ballpark) is lets say a $30,000 boat cost the Manufacturer $10k to build. The dealer pays $20k, and MSRP is $30k. That is why you ALWAYS see boat show specials not only because the dealer has $10k of wiggle room but the manufacturer usually throws in some incentives so maybe another $2-3k in wiggle room.

I'd like to buy my next Whaler at dealer cost!
