So, after several years of lack of use due to time constraints and other aquatic activities such as sea kayaking I've finally decided to sell my old Outrage 22. Overall the boat is in decent condition but does need some work to get it up and running and make it look great again. Here are the details: Boat and Accessories: Engine: 1989 Yamaha Excel (225 HP) Trailer: Loadrite tandem axel (1989) Photos at: www.rong.smugmug.com/Other/1987-Boston-Whaler-Outrage-22/19259096_KrfWT7 Asking $9,500 OBO Feel free to contact me with any questions, P.S. I've lurked on this great forum for several years but have not posted. Thanks to all for the information I learned about classic Whalers! |

Will the fuel tank need to be replaced? How is the reliability on the Yamaha Excel 225? |

Please contact the seller. He has left his email address. Please do not turn listings into discussions. If you want to have a discussion, please start a discussion in a discussion forum. For example, if you want to inquire about the general condition of fuel tanks in 25-year-old Boston Whaler boats, begin a discussion on that topic in REPAIRS/MODS. |

This website has too much traffic as it is, so how dare you pollute a thread by asking a simple question !!!! |

I'm confused by the discussion issue you have raised. A person is asking a direct question about the boat for sale. The answer can be of benefit to anyone interested in the boat. Isn't this the point of listing it on a "forum" and not just craig's list? |

The boat has sold! Thank you to all who inquired about the boat. Also, thank you to the folks who provided constructive advice about selling the boat. The boat was purchased by a local guy who buys and sells boats/engines so it may be listed again locally if anyone is still interested. Here is the buyer's website which doesn't seem too up to date but at least there is contact information. Also, from this sellers perspective I didn't mind having folks comment on the boat or raising questions. Good questions about the boat were raised that may have helped other potential buyers. The comments and questions also "bumped" the listing as well as generated interest. I didn't think that the posts from the moderator should have been taken down but that is just my opinion. Thanks again and have a good boating season! |
