My Garmin 276c has been requiring several minutes to get oriented for the last year or so.

She also sometimes gets time wrong, like ETAs in Standard, rather than Daylight time.

Not disabling, just a bit annoying.

I have updated the unit software and the Mapsource to no avail. I also did a Master Reset.

Garmin no longer services this unit, so I am replacing it with a refurb GPSMAP640.

This unit includes all accessories, an extra 256MB card and some firmware for marine or road use.

Maybe someone would be interested in it for a fraction of the bux I have in it.
