This seems like it might be a good deal, doesn't it? http://knoxville.craigslist.org/boa/3320243557.html

I would say Scam.... Fl numbers and tag on a TN ad - also the ad says its in Knoxville on the Knoxville craigslist site - they are not smart enough to find a town that's not the name of the craigslist site. Usually they erase the boat numbers though.... If its a real ad the boat is an outright steal.

Sent him an e-mail. The Florida tags on a Whaler in TN doesn't surprise me though. Not many Boston Whalers around here. Many do come up from Fl or have houses in both places. I'll report back just in case someone is interested. |

If its real - it will sell quick... I agree with the numbers deal - just an observation - as I said usually they wipe them out or at least the state part. Let me know how you make out...

A 1997 hull with a 1996 motor? Don't think that is right. Reads fishy. |

Close years are not that common. Just a bit out of sinc. Would be a good idea to read and check that all numbers agree. |

I doubt the photos were taken in Knoxville...not many palm trees hereabouts! The other flora, the fencing, and the roof tiles in the photos are much more typical of Florida than east Tennessee.Anyhow, I sent a response to the ad. I am fairly close to Knoxville...went to UT many years ago...wife and I both still have family there. Anyhow, if it's ligit, I'm a prospect!!! I really don't expect to hear back, but I guess you never know. |

I sent an e-mail too Marsh. I'm not a prospect but curious. If I hear something back I'll let you know immediately. So far nothing. |

Appears to be the same ad that surfaced a few months ago in Raleigh. |

Yup, it's a scam. Wanted me to pay for the boat, then his agent would send the boat to me to inspect. If I didn't like it, I had 7 days to file for a refund. Yeah, right. |
