WTB-Mills mooring cover for 1978+ Montauk. Any condition, as long as it is fairly complete.
I am interested in the reusing the gunnel clips, and to use as an example for my local (very good) canvas maker. Ripped, rotted, moldy, and moth eaten is fine.
The console on my Montauk conversion will be taller than the factory dimension, and I live a little too far from the East coast to take it to Mills for measurement.
Thanks,
Pete

Just call Mills canvas, and by the clips you need. They will sell them to you.

Thanks Dave, I know they are available, and I will purchase them if I have to. Still hoping for a junker to use as an example for the canvas shop. I have a
couple of buddies who own Montauks, but none with a Mills cover.

A competent canvas shop can make a cover without a pattern. I know there are several configurations. The one that came with my Classic 13 was stupid. I picked up a used Mills from a CW member a few years ago, in good not great condition that I like a whole lot - it has the two vertical poles connecting to a cross pole that "tents" up the cover - works great. There are plenty of photos on CW you can use for reference for your local canvas shop. Good luck.
