I'd like to purchase a light pole for our 15'. If possible, I need the pole only. The one we have is intact but corroded. The blub and glass are okay, as is the wiring. It's the pole that needs help. I can purchase the entire pole if necessary. Thanks for your help.

Watermom I assume you are talking about the pole that fits on top of the center console? All that pole is, is an aluminum type tube which you can probably buy at a big box DIY store. The bottom contacts are set in plastic so all you need there is clean of the corrosion as the same with under the bulb/glass assembly. Run two new wires between the two inside the new tube and you're legal again. You might have to solder the connection (which is the best way anyhow) |

MKelly, If Watermom is not talking about the transom mounted light, I'd be interested in yours. I'm in Seattle as well.Dennis

In checking with my better half, our light has had it. If anyone has one they would like to sell please let me know. And yes, I know I can call Sue at Twin Cities but I am trying to save a little money. Thanks! |

Some of the newer Perko or Attwood All-Around pole lights will work. Many have adjustable light heads and are very attractive. I've had very little problem with the difference in metal (stainless steel vs. aluminum), just put a small amount of lube where they meet at the mounting bracket. They are easy to cut to size with a tubing cutter, pull the wires and attach your 2-prong plug. |
