I'm liking this forum.
Can anyone help me find or fabricate a ski bracket to fit a 17' Outrage (1992)? My boat has a trolling motor attached to the cavitation plate of my Yamaha and I'd like something to keep the tow rope above the outboard rather than hook the rope to the transom hooks. Rope comes way too close to the trolling motor & I really use the trolling motor for Gulf fishing. I have grandchildren you see. Thanks guys.

This is not a Whaler-specific answer, although someone here may have one for you; it is also not an Outrage 17-specific answer, as my Whalers so far have been two Montauks and currently an Outrage 22. BUT, having lead off with that apology, I still think you might gain some useful knowledge from an Overton's catalog, or cruise over to their site on the web:

Overton's is a boating catalog that specializes in water skiing, while touching on a lot of other things for small boats and trailers, etc. I know I have seen water ski pylons and brackets there, don't know if what they have will work in your outrage or not.

Good luck,
