posted 03-05-2000 07:59 PM ET (US) Maybe someone can give me some suggestions as what to do with my vertical rod holders that are just in front of my windshield on my center console.I had a T-top installed and there is no way rods will fit up there. previously all the rod holders drained into small tubes down and outside the center console.I have thought about glassing the holes up and gelcoating or cuting some starboard to fit up there.Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks,Ed Stone Oh Yea My boat is a 17 Outrage.

I'd opt for the starboard, just incase, in the future, you or the next owner decides to remove the T.

Just take them off and put a filister head stainless bolt through the hole with a flat washer and aero nut on the back side. That's what I had the dealer do on my Montauk (I didn't want the rod holders). The dealer wanted to glass them over. At present, six of the eight bolts are being used for something (The bottom four hold the SCUBA tank rank, two of the top four hold hold electrical wiring inside the console.
