David	posted 03-19-2000 01:26 PM ET (US)         Purchased a 1991 17'Outrage and been able to take it out on the water already this year on the west coast and it is great. Since I am new to the Whaler sence, I do have a question about the engine well - the engine well is molded area with two drain holes on the bottom of the well - should it be lefted open so the water and enter and escape? Thanks David
bigz	posted 03-19-2000 03:35 PM ET (US)          David, Do you mean the "drains" go through the bottom of the boat or do they go through the lower part of the transom? If through the bottom which I have never seen yup plug them... if through the transom leave them open... it was designed that way and you can run your aft bilge pump hose into the splash well to drain --- Regards, Thomas
