I'm refitting my classic 17, and have to choose between a swingback cooler seat (Todd #179218NI), or a leaning post. Todd also makes a leaning post that sits on a base, so attempting to secure a pedestal won't be an issue. I have a chronic lower back problem, so I need to select a seat that will give me the best support. Whent it's rough, the usual response is to stand when running the boat, so I would be able to get some support from the leaning post when I need it the most. However, I then would have no storage under the seat, and the leaning post is pretty costly. The leaning post does come with a 30 gallon live well, offsetting some expense there. Any ideas out there?
