I am looking for a set of outriggers that attach to the rail on the center console. I have a 77 mauntauk and this item is in my accessory catalog. I live on the coast of North Carolina and fish alot. I have seen where people attach them to the inside of the hull, I just can't bring myself to drill holes in my boat. More holes=more problems! The catalog says they are made by Lee's in Miami. I have talked to them and they don't know what I am talking about. Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum ---
Well if Lee's doesn't know no one knows --- since they made them for Whaler as an option!

The 15' Outrigger poles were by Lee, and their bases dropped into this SPECIAL CASTING and SUPPORT LEG made by and designed by Boston Whaler (probably subbed out to somebody).
It ceased production sometime around 1986, I believe, and they are very rare and in demand by a lot of people. I know that George Harkness, who occasionally visits this Forum, spent a lot of time looking for one, and finally found one for his Outrage 19.
You will have trouble finding one of these!
They were offered both on the Montauks and the Outrages, but sometime around 1983 Whaler started recommending that Outriggers be installed in the teak gunwales instead. perhaps someone at Whaler could tell you who the OEM was and you could still find one.

I will try to get some photos taken of the mount this week and send them in for posting. If you can receive and view images directly, let me know and I'll send them to you.

Thank for all of the replies. I guess that these mounts are made of nonexistonium so I will try to fabricate one in my shop. If it looks good, and works good, I will post pictures on this site.
