I have a '69 13' with a '69 Johnson 40HP on it. The wiring harness under the enginge cover is need of replacement. I called Johnson and they said it hasn't been made since the mid 80's. I called SeaWay and they didn't have one. Any ideas?
I know I might have to make one...I'm just trying to keep from doing that.

Fred,
I have repaired numerous older OMC outboards. A local OMC dealer in our area purchases obsolete parts from aftermarket companies that specialize in manufacturing NLA factory parts. Check with your local dealer and see if they have any similar sources. If not, let me know and I will try to provide the info.

Thanks for the info. I posted a request on outboard-parts and am waiting for a response.

Dive1 if you can get the local dealer number in your area and I call to see if they have the part. My local dealer did not.
