I own hull number 854, a 13 footer which I hace brought back to life from near death. the boat came with a 1963 Johnson outboard and not much else. I am writing to reccomend Center Marine in Mansfield, Connecticut as a shop owned by a guy with a can do attitude toward old BW's. Just try to find a dealer who will re-rig the tiller cable steering. They wont do it. Same goes for the older outboards. Most guys won't touch anything older than 10 years. Call this guy. He's amazing. A hippy with tremendous patience who wants to do the job right. I'm picking up my (now) fuly restored Classic Whaler on saturday. A lot of me and a little bit of him and I've got a 4o plus year old Whaler that's ready for my sons to play in!
