In the refernce section devoted to rub rails, there is a comment that the cost to replace should run around $100.00. Is this for the 13? I have an 18ft. Outrage and I'm considering replacing the rub rail. What would be my approximate cost? I would do the work, so I'm looking at just material cost! Any help would be appreciated.

This is the source for Whaler rub rails for your Outrage --- this was supplied by "lhg" in an early poet in the OEM section of the forum --- we are not sure they will still sell direct ---

Jim: I have replaced the black rub rail insert on my 18, which I think cost about $90 from a Dealer. It is an easy job to do. If the semi-rigid receiver piece also needs replacement, that will be more money and more work. It is pop-riveted in place. Be sure you get a long enough piece with that full transom model.

Larry,

Thanks for the reply. I thought the price was a little light. It should have dawned on me that the centerpiece was not included. Unfortunately, I am going to replace the whole thing. Great advice on length for full transom. Most dealers don't think of it unless you bring it to their attention. Thanks again.

Jim

p.s. Thanks to Bigz on Barbour info.
