Got the pinion gear back in, motor is assembled, put a new water pump impeller in, slot is lined up with the pin so I know its ingaged. Belive the tube in the lower unit is connected to the pump, cant really see as it goes together, but sure feels like it. When running in a full garbage can of water, should I have a large stream of water coming out the hole? Thanks

Yes you should have a strong stream of water. Make sure the tube in the lower unit is installed right you should be able to see it as it goes together it wont just line up automaticly you have to make sure by looking at it as it goes together.
