We have a recently purchased '64 16' Nauset. We would like to add a trolling motor and an electric anchor winch. We are looking for advice on finding the right shop to advise us and do the work. We live in eastern Washington State. Does anyone know of reputable shops in this area that know the ins and outs of Whalers?

I have an electric anchor winch that I just took off my Montauk. It's a Powerwinch with an integrated davit, complete with wiring and up-down switch. It was mounted on the flat area on the starboard bow with 4 long SS screws. It works and is in nice shape, but I do all my fishing in the ocean and prefer a danforth with chain and rope. I did use it a few times on San Francisco Bay, and it is quite handy if you fish alone. It would be heavy to ship, but I'll gladly sell it to you for way less than the $259 that Cabella's is asking for the same unit. If you are interested, send me an e-mail and let me know what you think it's worth to you. I'll weigh it and try to figure out shipping costs.

Thanks, Andy. Now that we have the anchor winch worked out, anyone know of marinas or people in this area that can work on these classics?
