The nylon(?) straps supporting my Bimini are dirty and discolored by mildew stains. Common cleaners have not worked well & I hesitate to use bleach-containing products for fear of weakening the strap. The straps are semi-permanently (sewed on) attached to the top, so removal is not feasible. Any suggestions?

Compounder
Try a product made by Star Brite called midew & stain remover, their part #85616. Have had very good luck with it.
