The siderails on my whaler are in great shape, but the fittings are badly pitted. Can those be replaced without replacing the hole railing?

If not, any experience in cleaning those things up?

I just got mine back from the re-chrome shop and they look great. I sent in about 14 of the rail stand-offs and my whole bow light w/chock. They charged $140 and did a wonderful job. The only problem is that now my old stainless rails look bad compared to the new stand offs!! Rex

Rex: Are the rail fittings or stand-offs as you call them easy to remove from the rail itself?

I am staring at these things wondering how in God's green earth am I going to maneuver them around the bends in the rail?

Sure would appreciate your comments.
