I am in the process of replacing the thru-hull in the bow compartment on a '73 19' outrage. After pulling the old thru-hull out I noticed that it was corroded and allowed water to seep in the hull. From what I could tell, the foam was pretty wet. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions? Is there some type of water absorbing material that I can run through the hole to absorb the moisture or is this the type of situation where I need a vacuum? Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
