I need the drain tube that goes from the fish box to the motor well. The dealer tells me that only a 15" unit is available, which I would have to cut down to 10". After removing the old tube, I notice it is curved slightly, and I am not sure a straight one will go in. Anyone know the availablity of these tubes, my dealer is not the best, and certainly doesn't know the older boats.

My other issue is installing it. I know there is a tool, which I need (or make my own). Using the hammer method will not work because of the access to this tube. Where do I get the tool and how much is it?

Thanks
Stacy

The easiest way to go would be to use the newer style PVC tubes. Much easier to install and will last forever. Just be sure to bed it in good with Life Calk or 3M 4200.

I was cruising down the aisles at WEST MARINE last Sunday (that is about as close to boating as you can get in Michigan in March) and I noticed they were selling brass drain tubes! I did not investigate thoroughly, but the tube looked a bit short for some Whaler applications, but it might work for the transom well drains.

My fish box drain tube on my 90 22 outrage gave way today!! $%^#@$%! Being the machinist in the family, I think I'm going to make one from ss...I'll put the nut in the fish box since there's a pump there, the tube is not the low point. I'll seal it with 5200 and it'll be just fine !!!!!! Has anyone else done this????

I've doon all the tubs in my montauk17. got the parts from a B/W dealer in town. (he ordered then from B/W) after getting them out / you have to drill new holes. (larger) but the key is to drill a piece of 3/4 or 1/2/ materal with the hole saw first so to be used as a guide! then hot guue it in place. this is getting long if you need more help e /m me at
